Mohave County, Arizona Free Public Records Directory

By area, Mohave County is the largest county in Arizona and the fifth largest county in the United States. It was created in 1864 when Arizona was still a territory. Its current boundaries were established in 1881, well before Arizona was admitted as a state in 1912. Kingman, with a population of 29,000, is the county seat. The largest city is Lake Havasu City, with 53,000 residents. Mohave County has one other city, one town, and many ghost towns. It is divided into northern and southern sections by the Grand Canyon; most of the population, including all three cities, is in the southern section. Mohave County is bordered on the north by the Utah counties of Kane and Washington; on the west by the Nevada counties of Clark and Lincoln; on the southwest by the California county of San Bernardino; and on the east and south by the Arizona counties of Coconino, Yavapai, and La Paz.
